Piece of Heaven
(Nicholas Horner)
She’d seen it all before and carved it on her bedroom floor
One wicker word was all we found
So charlatan the night ‘about beneath the plastic light
That held the cry and lullaby to save her from this town
When breathing is bereft and looking down means nothing left
The fingers cleft are giving way
So do the things you please and leave me with my damn disease
That snares the young and spares the ones who’re lost within the sound
‘Cause I’d take a piece of heaven following you down
Take a piece of heaven to the ground
I’d take a piece of heaven to the ground

Love Is Simple
(Nicholas Horner)
Wading stare from her pupils bloom
The white that peels ‘cross the darkened room
I’d cling my chest and my breath will swoon
For love is her simple song
Shelter bleeds ‘cross her whisps of hair
The linen sea coursing through the air
Her voice lies still- submerged, yet bare
Her love is a simple song
Love is a sound humming violet and blue
Echoing by as the oceans renew
Love is a child singing lithe and nimble
For loving is simple

The Flood
(Music by Lucas Chohany, Lyrics by Nicholas Horner and Lucas Chohany)
Paradise was humbled down by churning flame into the ground
When 40 day turned 40 year of crystal flood and waters clear
Wisped away by torrent tide where funeral pyres sang far and wide
And weary suns sank to the sea, the last remains of Galilee
Moonshine fell upon the earth cradled in a watery hearth
And trembling gazed the stars in fear for floods arise in every tear
Now hollers rang into the deep as I was lifted from my sleep
To gaze unto her sky and stone, a wealth of water, blood and bone
So hang your light from the pillars of your soul where your heart is burning bright
And tie it tight for 40 years of water clear, the flood she comes tonight
Heaven open up your door and take your pilgrims from this shore
But all that paradise would save became the gravel for the grave

Mourn Not For Me
(Lucas Chohany)
In peace, my soul abides
Just as the crystal waters flow
Within the mountain side
Your memories bittersweet
I hear them in the leaves
The swaying oaks that noon and night
Go waltzing in the breeze
With every tear you cry
Falls dew upon the rose
That’s blooming there in fragrance sweet
That lends my heart repose
Mourn not for me my friends
In peace my soul abides
Just as the crystal waters flow
Within the mountain side
The songs of grief you sing
Abhorred in my dismay
They move the wave and set the sail
That carries me away
